Mac Waterweight Foundation NW13 | Review | Close Up Demo | Check In (Not Cruelty Free)

I know this product has been out for a year but I wanted to review it anyways. I've used it for 9 months and wanted to talk about some things not many people mention about it. I found another youtuber who felt the same way I did. You can watch her video here. Also, how bad is that background noise? The banging is from the roofing guys a few houses away.

Rihanna Kiss It Better Makeup & Hair Look

Rihanna Kiss It Better Makeup & Hair Look
Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Mochalicious.
Pure Anada Bronzed Clove.
I was instantly mesmerized with the cinematography in Rihanna's  Kiss It Better Video. But what really caught my eye was how good she looked! The short and messy hair, the glowy skin, the dark lips and darkened eye crease. Long story short, I wanted to recreate it for fairly cheap, and this is what I came up with. It's really simple and perfect for this fall season that has arrived so soon!

Covergirl Smoothers BB Cream | Review | Swatches | Before/After (Not Cruelty Free)

This is basically a tinted moisturizer. You might have noticed the word 'swatches' in this post title. The truth is, swatches are pretty pointless because this product is so sheer. As long as you stick to your shade category, you don't need to worry about matching undertones.

This BB cream has zero benefits to skin health. No spf, no antioxidants etc. It will just give your skin moisture. There are no ingredients that cause acne. I have never gotten acne from this which is a miracle because I break out from most things. This smells the slightest bit of sunscreen.

I do like this product as a cream. It feels nice and sits very well on the skin alone, leaving a slightly tacky feel. It doesn't mix the best with Maybelline Better Skin Liquid Concealer, so I'm not sure how well other liquid concealer would look on this. It's hard to explain but it just didn't blend together.

I wouldn't repurchase this. It's just too sheer that you nearly notice no difference unless you put a ton of product on, which in that case, the tube will be empty in a month! When I do put a lot of this cream on my face, I notice maybe 4% of coverage. I simply want more coverage so I started making my own tinted moisturiser. Problem solved :) Don't get me wrong, I like this stuff a lot but it's sort of pointless. It feels like it would make a great base for makeup, but like I said, some things don't blend well on top of it.

Urban Decay Basics 2 Palette | Review | Swatches | 4 Basic Looks

This $36 palette has been around for a while. It's sort of been forgotten as new palettes with trendy colours hit the makeup shelves constantly. This palette look pretty dull (literally). But it has worth in my eyes!

It contains all the basic shadows the average - newbie makeup user would need.

With these shades, you have the foundation of a basic eye look. You can then buy your colourful eyeshadows separately to incorporate into the look. Lay down your base with these and then add a foiled shadow to the lid! Also, this makes a great brow filler. I mix the last two shades of the palette for my brow filler to make the perfect cool toned brow colour.

This is a palette you could actually use up.

The shades in this palette all are a pastel-like and not the most pigmented. It looks as if the darker colours in particular have been diluted with white. I personally prefer a true, bold, pigmented colour. I know how to work with them to make them less pigmented. BUT if you're not the best with blending eyeshadow, this would be so easy to work with! It's basically impossible to create a poor look with this palette.

I find this palette is very matte to the point that it adds a bit of texture the eyelid. A more satin shadow wouldn't do that. It's a minor thing that bothers me when I use it. Another thing to note is that these kick up a lot of 'dust' with your brush. I am very interested to see how the new Urban Decay matte palette formula feels compared to this.

I think this palette can be of value to others who want a reasonably priced, neutral- matte palette that is easy to use. It really is a loved palette by many. I myself wouldn't repurchase this because I want to buy neutral shadows that are more vibrant.
